We're spending two weeks a the Azores, taking a rest from work and giving Z all the attention he deserves. Still, I found a way to keep updating the blog. I'll try to do that every second day while we're here. But don't complain if the updates comes less frequent than that. Hey, I'm on vacation!

The Azores is a small group of volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It's nearest neighbours in each direction are Greenland, the Portugese mainland, Antartica and USA. I think it's most famous as the only stop for sailors going from Europe to the Carribean islands.

We've only just arrived, so we haven't had time to see very much of the islands yet. Just the capital Ponta Delgada, which is a small and very pretty town. The weather here is what I would call perfect. It's around 18 degrees Celcius day and night, partly cloudy. There's a constant breeze to cool you off if you've spent to much time in the sun. If you're not a sun worshipper (which I certainly ain't), but still like to wear only jeans and T-shirt (which I certainly do), then this is the place to be.

This is the hotel where we're staying. The garden and the decorations all goes in japanese style. Very stylish and nicely done. Even the shadow takes care of the esthestics.
